Livestreaming

What is it?

A webcast is simply a broadcast over the Internet. It’s often done live or live-delayed and is usually meant for a target audience. Typically used to engage viewers on their device during a live event as in sports or concerts, it's specifically geared toward a captive audience. And often, it's used for marketing or business, such as a keynote speech or sales presentation.

Why livestream?

Broadcast TV brought sound and visuals into our living rooms and created an entire culture around home entertainment.

Live webcasts however, are relatively new and accessible to a wide variety of content possibilities. While TV operates at fixed prices and expectations, webcasting affords an open playing field, often at a fraction of the cost.

More importantly, if reaching the all-important audience demographic age of 14-45, you won't find them on TV. Anyone born after 1980 now consumes all media online, so get with the program!
